Biography

Katarina Wong is a visual artist and independent curator based in NYC. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, as well as curated several projects in the NYC area. Katarina has received numerous awards and residencies, including the Cintas Fellowship for Cuban and Cuban-American artists and a Pollock-Krasner grant, as well as residencies at Skowhegan, Ucross, the Kunstlerhaus in Salzberg, Austria, and in 2008 at the Open Art Residency in Eretria, Greece. She is also a volunteer docent at the Rubin Museum of Art.

Katarina received her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Maryland at College Park and has Master in Theological Studies from the Harvard Divinity School, where she focused on Buddhist Studies.

Interests

Art: creating work as well as finding ways to connect art with viewers/collectors; Buddhism, travel & expanding my world with news of the unusual.
